Jill Wibberley is very much looking forward to the event..
“I attended the TALK LIPOEDEMA 2015 Conference feeling very nervous as I was to be a model in the fashion show. Having had lipoedema all my life and not knowing it, I had always hidden away from individuality. To walk a cat walk with a hundred eyes on me was really scary. In the end it went really well and didn't phase me at all. This year I am, again, a model in the fashion show and feel very relaxed about it. The thought of meeting other ladies with the same disease as me is amazing and empowering. To know I'm not alone and that my very large painful legs and arms are not my fault removes the guilt I have felt all of my life. All of the ladies that attend are such lovely people and I'm really looking forward to meeting them in the flesh. The talks and workshops are amazing and I really look forward to listening to the talks from some very experienced professionals. I am even looking forward to Swimming in the morning. It's quite nerve wracking as I haven't worn anything as revealing as a swim suit for many, many years. Also looking forward to meeting Mary and Julie from PhysioPod again, whom I now consider my pals after meeting them at the last conference and immediately hitting it off. I now own a PhysioPod of my own which I call Phoebe! I wouldn't be without it. I shall be able to go to the conference by way of a lift from a wonderful family, without which I wouldn't be able to go. I'm so looking forward to a lovely weekend."
