“Having being a human and equine musculoskeletal therapist for 18 years the toll was beginning to show on my body. I had been looking at deep oscillation and pulse electromagnetic field therapy for the last 5 years, considering whether it would be worth while bringing into my practice. I mainly use skin to skin therapies such as Myofascial Release, McTimoney-Corley Skeletal Therapy, Stecco Fascial Manipulation and trigger/accu point modalities. Deep Oscillation is a great adjunct to what I do, especially when I can still work through a gloved hand. I like to feel the tissue change in response to a downregulated nervous system.
I am currently working on a fibrotic myopathy case, which has, after only one session, reduced fibrosis and become much more pliable. Prognosis for fibrotic or ossifying myopathy is usually very poor, even with surgery so any improvement in the tissue pliability can only be a good thing.
One session has really helped a horse with sacroiliitis. He went from being reluctant to canter to cantering around his field with great ease.
It has also helped many riders with generic back pain and inflammation after falls to ACL repair and frozen shoulder.
Having only purchased it in September, I look forward to seeing the results as it becomes a regular go to in my toolkit.”
