We received this very positive note from Libby, who manages the Self Care Forum who gave permission for the note to be shared with our readers..

"Dear Mary

I hope you are well.  Thanks so much for taking the time to apply for our Self-Care Innovation Awards.

Unfortunately, your entry has not been successful this time, although judges enjoyed hearing about your self-care work and the contribution you are making to support people with lymphoedema.

The standard and quality of entries this year were particularly high, so we hope you don’t feel too disappointed.  In case it is helpful, below is some feedback from the judges:

  • An important treatment for a particular group and condition is giving people confidence in helping themselves and facing the world with an otherwise debilitating condition.
  • Well-executed initiative in a historically overlooked area. Focus on educating other professionals and trusts. Clear sustainability.
  • Clear objectives and improved outcomes for patients and the NHS.

Take care.
