Rachel Richardson

Rachel Richardson is a highly qualified Chartered Physiotherapist with extensive experience and the heart behind Gorey Physiotherapy and Lymph Clinic, a welcoming practice on Main Street in Gorey, Co. Wexford. Rachel understands that life can take its toll on your body and that it can be incredibly frustrating trying to get back to where you once were. This understanding is the driving force behind her clinic's ethos: to go that extra mile to get you better more efficiently and in the least amount of time, using evidence-based treatments.

Guided by her core clinical belief that "there is never just one way" to heal, Rachel brings a truly unique, holistic perspective to her practice, with a strong focus on patient care and effective outcomes. By blending years of traditional physiotherapy study with a deep passion for complementary techniques, she creates highly personalised treatment plans designed to meet the exact needs of everyone who walks through her clinic doors.

Her extensive credentials speak to this lifelong dedication. Alongside her Honours Degree in Chartered Physiotherapy, she holds certifications in Spinal Manual Therapy and Orthopaedic Medicine, and is a registered professional member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists, MLD Ireland, and CORU.

Not only is she proficient in traditional musculoskeletal physiotherapy—which includes dry needling, myofascial release, and orthotic prescription—but Rachel is also an Advanced Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapist and Scar Therapist. She holds a Level III Certificate in Dr Vodder's Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Combined Decongestive Therapy, alongside specialist training in Breast Cancer Rehabilitation and Oncology Scar Massage. Always looking to expand her therapeutic toolkit to get the best results for her patients, she has also recently integrated DEEP OSCILLATION® therapy into her clinic to further enhance tissue healing and recovery.

Believing strongly that movement is medicine, Rachel is also a dedicated wellness advocate. She is a trained instructor in Qi Gong and multiple Pilates disciplines, including APPI, BodyControl, and Stott Pilates.

Rachel's warm, patient-centred approach extends far beyond Gorey, drawing clients from across Wexford, Arklow, Courtown, Enniscorthy, Bunclody, and surrounding villages.
