Because of the non-invasive, non-traumatic, gentle nature of this therapy, very early possibilities of application are possible following injury and from Day One post operatively. Chronic conditions can also be worked upon with effective results.

DEEP OSCILLATION® is an internationally patented, proven technology based on the effects of creating an electrostatic field in the tissue of the patient. Easy application is from therapist to patient/client via hygienic, vinyl gloved hands; utilizing all normal massage movements or via circular movements over the tissue with a handheld applicator.

The special structure of DEEP OSCILLATION® allows the creation of biologically effective oscillations in the treated tissue using electrostatic attraction and friction. In contrast to other therapies, these pleasant oscillations have a gentle and deep-acting effect on all tissue components to an 8 cm depth (through skin, connective tissue, subcutaneous fat, muscles, blood and lymph vessels).

Personal Profile of Lorna Moulton

Lorna Moulton

Lorna Moulton is a highly experienced BSc Chartered Physiotherapist and the founder of I am Bodywise, with a career dedicated to physical and emotional well-being that spans over 33 years. Since entering the fitness industry in 1991, she has evolved from teaching group exercise and leisure management into a multidisciplinary practitioner with advanced clinical expertise.

Lorna’s diverse professional background allows her to offer a comprehensive range of treatments, including:

  • Physiotherapy: Providing restorative care for both adults and children, including those in trauma, orthopaedics, and SEN school settings.

  • Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD): Specialising in the treatment of lymphoedema, lipoedema, and post-surgical swelling.

  • Sports and Remedial Massage: Utilising techniques like soft tissue release and trigger point therapy to improve posture and speed up recovery.

  • Advanced Pilates: Focusing on core stability, spinal health, and body-mind awareness.

  • Specialised Rehabilitation: Offering focused support for breast cancer recovery and long Covid.

Her practice is defined by a holistic evaluation of every patient. Rather than focusing solely on an isolated injury, Lorna considers the "body as a whole", taking into account how past physical injuries and emotional events might be influencing a patient's current discomfort. This approach is informed not only by her extensive training in techniques like dry needling and joint mobilisation but also by her personal experiences as a mother of three and a lifelong athlete.

Currently, Lorna balances her time between working in an SEN school in London, attending to acute cases in Trauma and Orthopaedics, and seeing private clients at her practice in Bishop's Stortford on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. A keen sports enthusiast, she remains active through swimming, road cycling, and running, often accompanied by her dogs.

Lorna’s approach to treatment is much like a skilled navigator for the body; she doesn't just look at the immediate roadblock of pain but maps out your entire physical history to help you find the most sustainable path to your "best self".
