OUTLINE:

Objective of the study

Development of a new technology of sanatorium and spa treatment for shipboard personnel with urolithiasis (UCL) using pulsed low-frequency electrostatic field.

Material and methods

A total of 80 personnel with ureteral stones aged 52.8 (49.9; 54.3) were observed. Two groups were formed by the method of simple randomization: a control one (40 people), where the patients received diet therapy, physical therapy, internal and external use of mineral water from the spring "Slavyanovsky", and in the main group (40 people) procedures of pulsed low-frequency electrostatic field from the apparatus "HIVAMAT 200" were additionally prescribed.

Results

The comparative estimation of positive dynamics of the basic clinical and paraclinic indexes after sanatorium-resort treatment has revealed statistically significant advantage in the basic treatment group, where as in the patients who additionally received physiotherapeutic influence - ie Deep Oscillation from the apparatus "HIVAMAT-200" on projection of kidneys, demonstrated a faster regress of clinical manifestations of the disease, improvement of the functional condition of the urinary system, acceleration of pH shift in the urinary tract. The developed new therapeutic technique facilitates the discharge of small calculi in 47.4% of patients
