Run by HSE Mid West Community Healthcare, the Specialist Lymphoedema Clinic in Co. Clare offers a tailored service dedicated to addressing the individual needs of oncology patients. The clinic provides comprehensive lymphoedema assessments, hands-on treatment—including DEEP OSCILLATION® therapy, where clinically appropriate—and supported self-care guidance.
This multi-disciplinary service is led by a Clinical Nurse Specialist and a Physiotherapist, both of whom hold advanced specialist training in lymphoedema management and cancer rehabilitation (Pinc & Steel, CanRehab).
- Who can attend: Individuals living with lymphoedema in County Clare.
- Cost: There is no charge to attend the clinic. (Please note: if the individual does not hold a medical card, a charge for compression garments will apply).
- How to access: A referral is required from a GP, Oncologist, Public Health Nurse, or an Allied Health Professional.
