About Dr Vasu Karri
Mr Vasu Karri is a consultant plastic surgeon practising full-time in East Yorkshire. He holds several qualifications, including BSc (Hons), MBBS, MRCS, MSc, and FRCS (Plast). Mr Karri is on the General Medical Council (GMC) specialist register for plastic surgery and is certified by the Royal College of Surgeons of England in plastic surgery. He is also a member of the British Association of Plastic Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS).
Mr. Karri obtained his medical degree from St Mary’s Hospital Medical School in London and completed his plastic surgery training there. He has also undergone double international fellowship training. One of these fellowships was a microsurgery fellowship in Taiwan, and the other was the Facial Plastic Surgery fellowship in the Netherlands and Belgium, where he gained knowledge of advanced cosmetic surgery techniques.
Significantly, Mr. Karri has had the honour of receiving advanced training from some of the masters of lymphoedema and lipoedema surgery around the world. This highlights his specific expertise and focus in these areas.
Beyond his clinical practice, Mr Karri has a keen academic interest and has presented at national and international plastic surgery conferences. He has also co-authored a book on the surgical management of lymphoedema and written numerous peer-reviewed scientific papers.
