We are excited to share the latest video from the NEXTMED YouTube channel, which focuses on DEEP OSCILLATION® in practice. This video shows the practical application of Deep Oscillation therapy, used for various conditions, including both post-operative and chronic issues…
DEEP OSCILLATION® Applications:
-
Post-Operative Recovery: The device is used immediately following surgeries, such as after a hip replacement. The therapy helps release tension and alleviate surrounding pain, ensuring the patient feels better and more relaxed.
-
Mobility Improvement: After applying the therapy, tests indicated that the range of motion was significantly better. This application is also effective for conditions such as frozen shoulder or post-operative shoulder recovery, resulting in improved movement. The speaker said that the most important thing is that the patient is happy and the therapy works.
-
Scar Management: Deep Oscillation is described as a "fantastic thing" for scar tissue and the surrounding muscles. Addressing scars properly is crucial, as researchers have increasingly focused on the negative issues scars can cause over the last 10 years. Proper management leads to faster regeneration of the adjacent area and better movement.
-
Chronic and Sports-Related Issues: The therapy is effective for chronic conditions like tennis elbow, Achilles tendon issues, and chronic overload in athletes, such as those suffering from ITB syndromes. It is also employed for muscles affected by spasticity, including those around the spine, in patients with a hernia.

Otto is a former professional footballer (see about information below) with 20 years of experience who underwent rehabilitation after an injury, emphasises the importance of staying current and being open to new methods that are effective and beneficial for more people. After using this apparatus for nearly a year, the team is delighted and recommends that other therapists try it out.

About Ottó Szabó
Ottó Szabó founded the Szabo Rehab rehabilitation centre. He is an established sports physiotherapist, orthopaedic neurologist, and manual therapist.
Szabó's professional background is deeply rooted in athletics, as he has been involved in soccer for over 20 years. He played for several teams abroad, including Rapid Wien and Gy?ri ETO, as well as local teams such as Slovan and Artmedia. He began his career at DAC and later returned to Dunaszerdahely after a 17-year absence.
His transition into rehabilitation was spurred by personal experience; his professional football career was not without injuries, meaning he had firsthand experience with the type of rehabilitation necessary to recover from them. Szabó decided to pursue a career in rehabilitation after his playing career came to an end.
He became a rehabilitation specialist, completing several years of training. As part of his specialised training, he learnt various treatment methods in Budapest from a Dutch professor who lived in the United States.
In the spring of 2015, he launched the Szabo Rehabilitation Centre. The centre utilises a qualified team to help clients make a full recovery. In addition to managing the rehabilitation centre, Szabó has also worked professionally as a rehabilitation coach for the DAC and the Puskás Academy Felcsút soccer team.
