Deep Oscillation is a clinically proven gentle yet powerful, electrostatic lymphatic drainage massage that permeates an 8 cm tissue depth.  The impulses are delivered by the gloved hands of the therapist, significantly reducing pain, swelling, and inflammation, promoting mobility and wellbeing. Applicable in the early post-operative stage due to its gentle nature.

In contrast to externally applied, mechanical forms of therapy, (e.g. vibration), the therapy effect of DEEP OSCILLATION® takes place in the tissue itself and works through the entire depth of the tissue layers (skin, connective tissue, subcutaneous fat, muscles, blood and lymph vessels) to a depth of 8 cm.

DEEP OSCILLATION® can be applied from the first day post operative which means patients can rehabilitate in a far quicker timescale than has previously been possible. Bruising, swelling and pain reduce as the daily treatment works on shuffling and transporting the excess inflammatory matter (in evidence after surgery) to the lymph system for removal. Once the area is drained, it is able to regenerate

What happens in treatment?

For treatment the client holds a titanium bar; the therapist wears thin vinyl gloves and an electrode is attached to their arm. Both the electrode and the bar are connected to the machine. Alternatively, a special applicator can be used which also enables post operation self- treatment. Deep Oscillation can be applied in any external location: face (including over eyelids), breasts, arms, legs, buttocks, abdomen, etc.

About Debbie Cutts

I have always been active and love to go for long runs and work out at the gym, where I participate in various activities and classes. I have also recently started getting more into weightlifting and fitness racing. Unfortunately, in my early 20s, I sustained an injury from running. Back then, I didn’t know what I know now about strength, mobility, and biomechanics. This injury occurred because I didn’t listen to my body; no pain, no gain, right?  No, that’s wrong; I should have listened to my body. I hadn’t strengthened and conditioned my body so that it could cope with the repetitive impact of striking the ground when running long distances. I had a race coming up, and I was in absolute agony with my right leg. I had an extremely bad case of shin splints, as I couldn’t put weight on my leg without being in acute pain. I needed some medical advice, so I went to see a physiotherapist, who confirmed the diagnosis and gave me some deep tissue massages, acupuncture, and strengthening exercises. I was able to recover in time for my race, and this is what sparked my interest in sports massage. I now help people avoid getting injured in the first place and help them deal with their injuries. I am always learning new skills.

Despite the injury and even breaking my ankle while hiking in the hills in 2020, I still love to participate in races and challenges. I have completed many Race for Life events, including the Wilmslow 10 km race, the full Tough Mudder course twice, and the virtual Race At Your Pace, where I ran 50 miles in a calendar month. I’ve participated in many weekly park runs. I have many plans to participate in more running races and fitness racing in the future, with my long-term goal being to run a marathon.

How did you hear about DEEP OSCILLATION®? What prompted you to buy?

I was recommended by a fellow therapist on the LTA course as she has lipoedema, and I have recently been diagnosed with lipoedema. I also learned that there's no one near me less than an hour away to have the treatment, so I thought it would be great to use it on myself but also to provide a service to the residents of my town and the surrounding areas.

How do you find dealing with PhysioPod® UK Limited?

Great, fast response, very kind, and easy to chat with.
