DEEP OSCILLATION®
*In contrast to externally applied, mechanical forms of therapy, (e.g. vibration), the therapy effect of electromechanical, electrostatic, DEEP OSCILLATION® takes place in the tissue itself and works through the entire depth of the tissue layers to a depth of 8 cm (skin, connective tissue, subcutaneous fat, muscles, blood and lymph vessels).
The effects of deep oscillation have been listed in many clinical references including PubMed peer-reviewed studies. Therapy is applied through vinyl gloved hands or special applicators, with minimal pressure. No heat is produced and it is safe over implanted metal, prostheses and breast implants.

DEEP OSCILLATION® therapy is a gentle, relaxing, non-invasive, non-traumatic treatment, which can be applied immediately after injury and day one post operatively. It works in acute and chronic situations alike and it is clinically proven to significantly reduce pain, swelling, fibrosis and bruising, resulting in a dynamic wound healing with less resultant scar tissue. Mobility is regained and a quicker return to normal activities is enabled.
Deep Oscillation Results So Far...
Deep Oscillation Therapy (DOT) has become an excellent addition to Dawn Seaman’s therapeutic toolbox, which she has started introducing into her human and equine practices with outstanding effect.
In equine practice, the horses treated with DOT have responded favourably, often becoming very relaxed during the session. DOT has been used with positive effect on cases rehabilitating from:
- Overriding DSPs (kissing spines)
- Sacroiliac pain
- Fibrotic myopathy
- Osteoarthritis
- Suspensory damage
- Splints
- General pain and stiffness
When DOT is employed for any diagnosed condition in horses, Dawn ensures veterinary consent or referral is sought to confirm the appropriateness of the treatment.

On the human side, she reports that DOT has helped enormously with several conditions, including:
- ACL reconstruction repair
- Adhesive capsulitis (frozen shoulder)
- Plantar fasciitis
- Sacroiliac pain
- Scar release
- General aches and pains
Clients undergoing treatment have reported various positive improvements, including enhanced range of motion, reduced pain, greater relaxation, improved sleep, and a better state of mind.
Client Testimonial
"I went to see Dawn with frozen shoulders, one has been much worse than the other, I've had to change the way I move and put clothes on as they are so restricted and if I move quickly or the wrong way the pain takes my breath away. Dawn used the PhysioPod on me for my appointment, I am so pleased with the results. After the appointment when I got changed, Dawn asked how it was putting my jumper on and I genuinely hadn't even thought about it, I had just put it on normally without thinking, I was so surprised. The next day my shoulders have ached like I've done too much but I have a good 70% more movement in them which I can't believe, I didn't think for one second I would get this kind of result and definitely not this quickly, I definitely reccomend trying it, I'm so pleased."
