About Cathryn Bishop

Providing holistic, patient-centred care, Cathryn draws on more than 20 years of experience as a soft tissue therapist. Based in Kent, she is a scar-therapy and soft-tissue specialist working with clients following breast cancer surgery, abdominal and gynaecological procedures (such as C-sections and hysterectomies), as well as other surgical or traumatic interventions.

Cathryn focuses on improving the mobility, function, and comfort of scar tissue using evidence-informed manual techniques. Her approach supports recovery by addressing restrictions, reducing sensitivity, and enhancing movement in the surrounding tissues. In addition to scar management, she also provides specialist oncology massage for individuals at any stage of their cancer treatment.

Qualifications

• BSc (Hons) Health Sciences: Therapeutic Bodywork from the University of Westminster
• Qualified Sports Therapist via the London School of Sports Massage
• Certified RESTORE Therapy Oncology Scar Specialist
• Completed Oncology Massage Practical Workshop (October 2024)
• Fully insured with Balens Ltd and holds an active DBS check
