Personal Profile

CATHERINE

Catherine Bunday is the founder of EQUUS Therapy, specialising in advanced human and equine rehabilitation. Grounded in a strong scientific foundation, Catherine graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Equine Science and Business from the Royal Agricultural University in 2016, focusing extensively on complementary therapies, equine behaviour, and biomechanics. Her training included a whole-horse dissection under world-renowned anatomist Sharon May-Davis, providing a hands-on understanding of how muscles, fascia, and skeletal structures function beneath the surface.

Building on her degree, Catherine earned her Level 4 Diploma in Merishia Massage with Jo Rose Applied Therapies. Today, she combines this scientific background with expert hands-on modalities—providing DEEP OSCILLATION® Therapy, Swedish Massage, and Merishia Massage.

Central to Catherine’s practice is "The Biomechanical Mirror"—the clinical insight that a rider's postural asymmetries and tissue tightness are directly reflected in their horse's movement and performance (and vice versa).

Operating under strict vet-led standards for her equine clients, Catherine tailors every session to the individual's stage of recovery—whether supporting a high-performance competition horse, easing post-injury discomfort, or helping a retired companion remain comfortable in the field.
