Andrea Baxter is a highly qualified Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) practitioner, Reflexologist, and Remedial Massage and ScarWork therapist who has been treating clients in Edinburgh since 1998. With over 20 years of experience as a massage therapist, she operates from her clinic, Revitalize, located in the Southside of Edinburgh.

Professional Training & Background

Andrea completed her specialised Pre and Perinatal Massage Therapy training with Carole Osborne-Sheets, and she continues to train with the Scottish Massage Schools and Advanced Massage Schools. In 2003, she completed her training as an MLD practitioner, which laid the foundation for her to begin working with clients managing Lymphoedema and Lipoedema in 2007.

Andrea specialises in a wide array of hands-on physical therapies, including:

Deep Oscillation Therapy & Manual Lymph Drainage: She frequently uses these therapies for post-injury, post-surgery, post-liposuction, and post-trauma recovery, as well as working over and around scars to reduce adhesions. She also provides these treatments to support individuals living with lipoedema or lymphoedema.
Massage Therapies: Sports and Remedial Massage, Pregnancy Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Swedish Massage, and general Therapeutic Massage.
Holistic Health: Reflexology, Indian Head Massage, and Hopi Ear Candling.

Practice Approach & Availability

Andrea works mainly during school hours and is known for a calm, confident, and very gentle approach to care, with clients describing her as upbeat, focussed, and highly knowledgeable. Her regular clients highly value her therapies for relieving stress, aches, and pain, as well as aiding recovery and improving scar healing following major surgeries or cancer treatments.

Currently, Andrea is not accepting new general massage clients, though existing clients are welcome to book. However, she continues to accept new appointments for MLD or Deep Oscillation Therapy for post-injury, post-surgery, post-trauma, lipoedema, or lymphoedema care.
