DEEP OSCILLATION® THERAPY (DOT)
DOT creates biologically effective oscillations in the treated tissue using electrostatic attraction and friction. In contrast to manual therapies, the pleasant oscillations have a gentle but deep acting effect on all tissue components to a depth of 8 cm, through skin, connective tissue, fat, muscle, blood, and lymph vessels. Attracting and releasing the tissue layers from between 5 and 250 times a second.
Due to its non-invasive, non-traumatic gentle nature of this therapy, it is possible to use DOT very soon after injury, and from ‘day one’ post operative chronic conditions, with very effective results.
Although very gentle, DOT is a very powerful treatment and is especially useful for extreme, acute or chronic pain where other forms of manual therapy cannot be tolerated.
