About Luminita

A passionate, professional Clinician with a wealth of experience in healthcare and complementary therapies who prides herself in keeping upto date with all the latest research and developments.

Luminita was born in Romania in 1968, where she completed her studies and qualified as a Physiotherapist in 1999. Following her relocation to Hampshire, England in 2004, she has spent most of her working life in the public and private sectors.  In 2009 Luminita decided to enhance her career further studying Holistic and Complimentary Therapies. She has worked within the NHS since 2009 as a Technical Instructor in Hand Therapy. She worked as a Lymphoedema Therapist at St Georges Hospital in London, and now works voluntarily as an MLD Therapist at The Fountain Centre in Guildford, which is part of St Lukes Cancer Unit based at the Royal Surrey County Hospital. It was at The Fountain Centre that Luminita discovered DEEP OSCILLATION® which she has since successfully added to her tools.

Fully qualified in Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) and Decongestive Lymphatic Therapy (DLT) in the Dr Vodder technique Luminita provides Lymphoedema, Chronic Oedema, Lipoedema and Lipoedema with Secondary Lymphoedema services. DEEP OSCILLATION® is recommended by The Wittlinger Clinic in Austria and the Dr Vodder Academy International in Canada. Luminita has also qualified in Reflexology and Electrotherapy.

Luminta is a qualified  (OTAGO)  Strength and Balance Training Leader for the Frailer and Elder Person registered with Laterlife Training Ltd, which she carries out on one-to-one basis and in group sessions.

Treatments Offered At:

Private treatments are offered in the calm and peaceful enviroment of clinics in Fleet (The Therapy Lounge), and in Farnham at (Farnham Natural Therapy Centre) and the surrounding areas. Luminita also provides home visits.

Memberships/Groups/Associations:

MLD UK and BLS require that all Therapists update their training at least every two years to ensure that they maintain the highest standards. Luminita is a fully registered member of  NHSTA  (National Health Therapists Association), IAAPT - International Academy of Alternative Psychology And Therapy (Complementary And Alternative Health Regulator), Breastcancercare.org.uk (Nursing Network), ACPOPC- Association Of Chartered Physiotherapists in Oncology and Palliative Care, Vida Wellness
