Personal Profile

Katrina Hayes MLD NMT Therapist

"Having suffered a back injury in my early twenties and consequently suffering chronic pain for a long time I set out to find the answers on how to improve and reduce the pain and accompanying symptoms.

I discovered Neuromuscular Therapy and qualified in 2015, which led on to a course in Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Combined Decongestive Therapy, Dr. Vodder method. This is a very precise method that is used specifically for treating Lymphoedema after cancer. I have also completed courses in Kinesio Taping, Western Dry Needling and First Aid.

Since Qualifying as a Therapist I have seen how the treatment can change peoples health in a positive manner, reduce their pain, improve mobility, reduce anxiety levels, improve sleep patterns and help with conditions that people have struggled with for many years by helping their body return to a proper functioning system, by raising their energy levels and improving their overall well-being. I am committed to a program of continuous professional development to benefit my clients"

Feedback from Katrina

"I first saw Deep Oscillation being used in The Lymph Clinic in Cork and could see immediately it played an important and integral part in Lymphoedema treatment.  I had a chronic Lymphoedema patient and so I decided to invest.  I felt adding Deep Oscillation would help to expand my business and improve results.  My Lymphoedema and Lipoedema patients love it; they say their legs feel so light afterwards and as though they are 'walking on a cloud'!

It is super for chronic pain, injury, swelling and post operatively, speeding up the healing process and reducing the build up of scar tissue. I find it also really helps with chronic muscle tension and I usually use it pre any body work as it helps soften up the muscles.. I love it and my patients love it"
