Matt Barker trained at the London School of Sports Massage acheiving Level 5 BTech Diploma.  He is a member of the the ISRM and SMA.

He is fully insured with BALENS, is CRB checked and First Aid qualified. Matt became interested in Sports Massage due to his love of long-distance running, cycling, tennis and martial arts. These activities presented him  with various injuries exacerbated by his previous careers in gardening, tree surgery and fire-fighting. He found that Sports Massage was a great way to not only get his exisitng injuries treated but also to prevent them by having a regular massage. Matt became fascinated by how the therapist could adjust his posture and relieve tension by treating specific muscles in different ways. With a keen interest in anatomy and physiology he took the logical step of becoming a Sports Massage Therapist. Matt was introduced to DEEP OSCILLATION® by Gillian Blake, who had been using the therapy on human and equine injuries for sometime.  He was very pleased with the results achieved and decided to take the step of having training with Julie at PhysioPod™ UK Ltd in Nottingham.  He now offers this non-invasive, non traumatic therapy to his clients combined with his techniques.
